Yumi and I went to Gangnam to experience the Italian restaurant Dochi. We went in at 5 PM to avoid the line that normally forms from about 5:30. The atmosphere is relaxed and the lighting is subdued with candle light setting a nice tone for dinner. There is a large stone oven behind a glass wall that ads to the Italian feel of the place.

The only major knock on the establishment is that they do not have a liquor license! They do have a few non-alcoholic beers though...(sigh).

Dochi was only about a 10 minute walk from Gangnam Station. I'll past a map below...

Dochi is closest to Gangnam Stn.

The interior around 5 Pm was bright with nice wood floors and brick walls. The place was very clean and had a nice vibe. Not busy at 5 PM, but by 6 people were waiting outside to get in...

 We ordered the Gorgonzola pizza...
Seafood salad (which is free except on Sat and Sun)...

The salad was very good with dried sauteed mushrooms, shrimp and squid with assorted greens.
The cream pasta with seafood was very rich, but not greasy.
Grab a window seat if you come early.
The thin crust was great and tons of cheese...

The best part was that for the three dishes the bill came to 45,000KW ($5 USD) and of course in Korea there is no tipping...:)

Yumi and I highly recommend Dochi!
